CTSO Community Service Events Due During November!

If you are enrolled in the Ohio Hospitailty CTSO, November is Community Service month. You must execute a community service event during the month. If you need ideas please consult the guide book HERE. When you are ready to submit your community service event please do so HERE.

Check out the schools below that have conducted thier community service projects for ideas!

Jackson High School is collecting mashed potatoes and stuffing for over 110 needy families in their community. They put together food baskets with ham, canned goods, laundry soap, hygiene essentials, holiday meal items, etc. Check out their flyer HERE.

Heartland Tech helped prepare and serve the local veterans at the Ashland county fair. The students prepared cornbread, helped stir/serve the ham and bean soup, served drinks, helped the veterans with their trays, and cleared tables when they were finished. One of the most enjoyable things is the students had a chance to talk to the veterans and get more of an appreciation for the sacrifice they have made for our country.

At VSCTC- Sentinel CTSO Students students set the dining room, polished glassware, folded napkins, and jumped in to help an industry partner who needed an extra hand. In hospitality, kindness isn’t just spoken — it’s practiced. We are proud of their professionalism, teamwork, and compassion on World Kindness Day. 💛🍽️✨💛

Registrations for our Virtual Gingerbread Bash Competition Are Now Open - and it's FREE!

Wind down before the holiday with this fun and simple competition. Create any structure out of your homemade gingerbread recipe. Submissions will be accepted from December 1^st through January 9^th to get them in. All needed competition documents (rules, score sheets, example recipe) are available via the Educator Portal. Mac & Cheese is back with a new twist!

The Ohio ProStart and Ohio Hospitality CTSO Mac & Cheese Competition, hosted by The American Dairy Association and The Hilton Columbus Downtown, is returning with a new twist! The initial competition will be held virtually, and the top 3 teams will move on to compete LIVE at the Ohio Prostart Invitational on March 10th. See who will prepare the tastiest mac in Ohio.
