You made them... now submit them!

We want to see your creations. Submit them to the Virtual Gingerbread bash competition. Registration is open- and its FREE! Wind down before the holiday with this fun and simple competition. Create any structure out of your homemade gingerbread recipe. Submissions will be accepted from December 1^st through January 9^th. Only 3 Schools have registered to compete so far: Apollo, Stow Munroe and Tri-County Career Center. Let's get Cheesy! Mac & Cheese is back with a new twist!

See who will prepare the tastiest mac in Ohio. The Ohio ProStart and Ohio Hospitality CTSO Mac & Cheese Competition, hosted by The American Dairy Association and The Hilton Columbus Downtown, is returning with a new twist! The initial competition will be held virtually, and the top 3 teams will move on to compete LIVE at the Ohio Prostart Invitational on March 10th. Only two school have signed up: Tri-County Career Center and Vangaurd. A minimum of 10 teams must be registered to move forward with the competition. Leadership Lab Rescheduled!

The Ohio Hospitlaity CTSO's Leadership Lab will be held in April. This event is a requirement of the Ohio Hospitality CTSO. Registration will open in January after the winter holiday.

CTSO Community Service Events Due During December!

If you are enrolled in the Ohio Hospitailty CTSO, December is Community Service month. You are required to execute a community service event during the month. If you need ideas, please consult the guidebook HERE. When you are ready to submit your community service event, please do so HERE. Check out the schools below that have conducted thier community service projects for ideas!

Penta Career Center donated 74 pies, rolls, stuffing, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, green bean casserole and corn casserole to St Paul's food bank for Thanksgivings meals.

Lima Senior Culinary Arts hosted a Family Night for one of their elementary schools in the district. Unity elementary students and their parents got to create and easy week night dish while Lima Senior students lead a demostration of the dish and talked about food safety and kitchen measurements.

Lima Senior also hosted a group called FANS (friends, allies, and neighbors with adults with developmental disabilites). Their students helped these adults create three dishes using a rotisserie chicken to help them feel more comfortable in the kitchen and make dishes they can replicate at home.

VSCTC Sentinel is ahead of the game and the first school to complete their December Community Service Event. Students partnered with the Lions Club to make popcorn balls for local families, then prepared and served a meal to the volunteers supporting the project. From culinary skills to genuine hospitality, they showed what it means to serve thier community with excellence. 🍿✨ Community Service With a Purpose!

The following schools still need to submit thier community service project for November: Columbus Downtown, C-Tec, Dater, Ehove, Lancaster, and Vantage. This is a requirement of the CTSO. Please submit before the end of the month, and begin brainstorming ideas for your December Community Service Projects.
