Normandy Culinary Arts (PCSD) Junior and Senior students volunteered their time on a Saturday this month to support our district's PTSA Craft Fair held at Normandy High School. The students made, packaged, and sold baked goods and other items. They also helped to serve food to the hundreds of Parma residents who attended this year's craft fair.

Apollo Career Center chose Toys for Tots as thier December community service project, conducting a toy drive from December 1st to 11th. They had two large donation boxes brought from the Salvation Army and put one in the cafe and the other in the main office. They made flyers and announced this project to staff and students. Apollo did a lab challenge, and the lab that brought in the most toys won a make-and-take cookie day with the culinary students on Friday, December 12! They also had a raffle during lunches on Friday, December 5, selling over 300 one-dollar tickets and raffled off a $50.00 Visa gift card donated to them from one of thier advisory members. Apollo also donated thier tip money from the first two weeks in December, and in doing this, collected over $800.00 to shop for toys at Walmart, as well as being able to donate two large boxes of toys from staff and students! This was a great event, and they were able to include almost all staff and students at their school!

Tolles Career & Technical Center students prepped/baked lasagna & made-from-scratch garlic bread and donated it to the local Plain City Police Department and the Ohio Highway Patrol Post so the officers and staff could have a warm meal before the holidays.

The following schools still need to submit thier community service project for November: C-Tec, Dater, Ehove, Lancaster, and Vantage. This is a requirement of the CTSO. Please submit before the end of the month, and begin brainstorming ideas for your December Community Service Projects.
