At Polaris JVSD, students prepped and cooked for Polaris Career Center POF advisory council. 365 guests were fed a lavish buffet of house-made rigatoni bolognese, green beans and carrots, curry roasted cauliflower with lentil dahl, stuffed cabbage rolls, grilled chicken paprikash with spatzles, and Maryland crabcakes.

Apollo Career Center hosted a local developmental disabilities group. They created 4 recipes utilizing items that could be found in a food pantry. These were low-cost items, mostly using canned food and limited fresh produce. They made: Chicken and Rice Casserole, Taco Soup, Stuffed Pepper Casserole, and Ground Beef and Cabbage. While doing thier demo, they talked about knife techniques, nutrition, sanitation, and safety.

What great events that give back to the community! The following schools still need to submit thier community service project before the month ends: Columbus Downtown, C-Tec, Dater, Ehove, Lancaster, Lorain, Masfield, Penta, South Western, Stowe Munroe, and Vantage. This is a requirement of the CTSO. Please submit before the end of the month, and begin brainstorming ideas for your December Community Service Projects.
